The first read in the special series called Mission Pioneers. Short introductions to the long awaited message send by Klang regarding the closed alpha called Seed Pioneers.
“Hello this is your captain speaking.. we have a small flight ahead of us.. we will arrive at our destination in approximate 1200 light-years..”
Yes, our Seedlings will arrive in the constellation Cetus soon(-ish). In theis constellation nestles the Tau Ceti System, home of planet Avesta. Chosen for its many and unique similarities to planet Earth.
After some years on their travel to the Tau Ceti system they will land their pods on planet Avesta. We have been provided with the following information about planet Avesta:
Distance: 11.905 ± 0.007 LY
Luminosity: 0.52 ± 0.03 (the intrinsic brightness of a celestial object)
SPECTRAL TYPE: G8 V (the group in which a star is classified according to its spectrum)
MASS: 1.75 ± 0.25 ME SEMIMAJOR
AXIS: 0.133 ± 0.001
DIAMETER: 9.562 KM (vs Earths 12,742 km)
ORBITAL PERIOD: 20.00 ± 0.02 (328.24 Days vs Earths 365.25 days )
ECCENTRICITY: 0.06 ± 0.13 (deviation of a curve or orbit from circularity)
Avesta is rotating on its axis and that results in northern and southern hemispheres. This also causes a diversity of biomes and climates which is probably a welcoming view for the Seedlings after the pretty long travel of 1200 light years.
Not much is known about the destination of our Seedlings in Seed Pioneers but looking at the satellite images provided by Seed Industries its sure a nice and habitable place to develop the next phase of humanity.
